The Story Behind Jaspers Mutton Hut
Meet Shak, Mel, and our flavour loving son, Jasper.
Shak and Mel - childhood best friends who grew up side by side, sharing laughs, adventures, and eventually, a life together as partners and mums.
Shak is proud to be of Caribbean heritage and the kitchen has always been her happy place. Caribbean flavours, rich spices, and family recipes have always been part of our story.
Then came Jasper, our bright, brilliant and charming boy. Jasper was diagnosed with autism at an early age and we said from the start that we would never focus on what he can’t do, it’s all about celebrating what he can do… and this boy can COOK!! He just LOVES food!! With his cooking, tasting and stirring the pot, he’s been part of it all since day one!
So……. Jaspers Mutton Hut was born. A small idea with big heart, inspired by the boy who keeps us smiling and laughing every day!
